North Coast
Place
The fruit for this wine is grown in some of the finest regions within the diverse North Coast appellation. A large portion of this incredibly soughtafter fruit comes from the Beckstoffer Vineyard in the Carneros Napa region. Additional fruit comes from the Pauli Ranch in southern Mendocino County and from the highly respected Sangiacomo Vineyard located in the Petaluma Gap AVA.
Winemaking
The 2017 vintage was aged exclusively in French oak for 12 months with 30% of the blend in new French oak barrels while the remaining portion of the blend is in seasoned, one to two-year-old barrels.
Style
This Pinot Noir is a true, ruby red in the glass with vibrant aromas of strawberry, cranberry, rose petal, and brewed black tea. The palate is fresh with loads of red fruit, mushroom, soy and pomegranate flavors. The wine is distinctively coastal in style with cooler climate characteristics including complex flavors of forest floor and spice and with bright acidity that heighten the texture and length.

keyboard_arrow_down2017 Cabernet Sauvignon
North Coast
Place
For the vintage 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, most of the blend is from Napa Valley, with a majority from the idyllic Pope Valley and Gordon Valley regions. These areas, with their diverse soils and higher elevations, produce Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with distinctive flavors and big, round tannins. The balance of the fruit comes from other North Coast regions including Sonoma's iconic Alexander Valley and the rugged Mendocino County.
Winemaking
This wine is aged for 12 months in predominately French oak barrels with a small portion seeing time in American oak. The toasty French oak frames the wine and the addition of the small amount of American oak gives a pleasing, subtle coconut lift.
Style
The 2017 B Side Cabernet Sauvignon is a deeply concentrated and expressive wine with aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, mocha, crushed lavender and sweet oak. This full-bodied wine is lush with layers of dark fruit, jam, pepper spice and hints of Blackstrap molasses making it wellstructured and intensely flavored with soft tannins and a lengthy finish.
